Above the clouds getaway
Woke up to stunning sunrise views and clear skies. The staff’s attentiveness made our stay extra special, especially the delightful pre-dinner drinks!
Check-in was a bit confusing, as the signs were unclear. I had to backtrack to the cable car station, which added a few minutes.

Oh, those hot waffles at breakfast were a game changer! The kids adored the cable car ride, and we cherished the epic mountain views that felt like our private playground post-day tourists. Seriously, waking up to the sunrise there is life-changing!
However, the dinner service was a bit of a flop. We sat around for over two hours waiting for our mains, and the waiter mixed up our order. the gorgeous setting kept us smiling.

missingWrote a review on Aug 24breathtaking sceneryhistoric charmdining disappointments
The sweeping 360-degree views of the Swiss Alps from every angle are unparalleled, especially from the dining hall where you can enjoy your meal while gazing at the incredible scenery. The hotel's grand historic feel adds a unique charm, making the stay memorable and offering that special mountain escape experience.
During my stay, the dining experience left a lot to be desired. The dinner menu felt too limited and the food quality didn't match expectations, some dishes were undercooked or just unappealing. Additionally, while the breakfast offered some selection, it lacked variety and wasn't on par for a four-star establishment. I encountered notably slow service, especially during dinner, where we found ourselves waiting far too long for courses. The room décor was somewhat charming, but the mattress was softer than I prefer, impacting sleep quality. Another downside was the limited evening tranquility. noise from outside disrupted the otherwise peaceful mountain atmosphere.

Staying here with my friends was amazing! We explored the nearby hiking paths and enjoyed breathtaking views from the playground. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made our visit memorable. Just be prepared for winter limitations on walking around the mountain.
We had a long wait for dinner one night, which was frustrating.

Amazing, amazing, amazing.
The views from our Junior Suite were amazing, showcasing panoramic mountain landscapes that changed with the light. Dining was a culinary dream, with a four-course meal that was both locally inspired and expertly prepared. Plus, after all the day-trippers left, we had the mountain all to ourselves for an enchanting, serene experience.

I absolutely loved the breathtaking views from my room. The location is simply stunning and the serene atmosphere at night is magical. The staff were super friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. My room was clean and well-maintained, perfect for a comfortable night. Unfortunately, there were issues with the dining experience. The food options were limited and not to my liking, especially during dinner when dishes lacked flavor. The service at meals was also slow, leading to a long wait before my food arrived. Additionally, navigating to my room was tricky, especially with no lift, which could be challenging for anyone with mobility issues.

The views from my Superior Double Room were truly breathtaking, and the hiking paths around the hotel made for a fantastic adventure. While the staff were cheerful and helpful, it was disappointing that the food options didn't live up to expectations during my stay. However, the overall experience of being high up in the mountains was unique and memorable.
